Our Vision

After years of practicing law in Alaska, Scott Perkins was dismayed at how large and mid-sized Alaska law firms see clients as just a paycheck. Some firms charge north of $450 an hour. Every hour charged is a dance lesson, or hunting trip, or a family vacation that did not happen. Often folks seek an attorney when things go wrong, not when things go right. While we still need to charge for our services, but it is not right to kick someone when they are down. The rates we charge are reasonable and we believe in billing transparency. We also realize that not every client is a commercial management company. Often you are welders, diesel mechanics, contractors, and electricians. We understand your unique situations.

Scott "Scottie" Perkins, JD

Partner - focusing on landlord-tenant litigation

After graduating from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2012 Scott purchased a one-way ticket to North Dakota sight unseen in hopes of finding an oil and gas job. After two years of swamping, roughnecking, and roustabouting he found himself managing frac sites until the bottom fell out of the industry in April 2015. The abrupt end of his oil and gas career brought him to law school.

Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law in December 2018. During law school he received CALI awards of excellence in Property II, Evidence, Constitutional Law, Wills, Estates & Trusts. Additionally, he was awarded the John F. Ensle award for excellence in evidence, a rare distinction.

February of 2019 he loaded up a U-Haul and drove from Texas to Anchorage having never been to Alaska before. The gamble paid off. With his love for the outdoors and Scouting, Alaska is the perfect fit. From hunting to kayaking and cross-country skiing he enjoys this sportsman's paradise.
